About Mount Everest
Mount Everest, also known as Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet, is the highest peak in the world standing at a towering height of 8,848 meters above sea level. It is located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and Tibet.
Everest has been a symbol of human achievement and a testament to the human spirit for centuries. Since Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first to summit the peak in 1953, it has been the ultimate goal for mountaineers from around the world. However, climbing Mount Everest is not an easy feat.
Despite the challenges, thousands of people have attempted to climb Everest over the years, and hundreds have lost their lives in the process. Today, Mount Everest remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, attracting thousands of visitors every year.
In recent years, there has been growing concern about the impact of human activity on Mount Everest and the surrounding ecosystem. The mountain has become increasingly crowded with climbers, which has led to issues such as trash accumulation, environmental degradation, and safety hazards.
